"test-pt.vmdk" is a copy of the MBR of the original disk.



VMserver 2 can handle this format but it no longer can create it.

VMserver 1 can handle and create this format.


 

Can be converted to other hosted formats with vmware-vdiskmanager
Can be imported  to ESX with vmware-vdiskmanager
